Gillian Cantello, Director, Registration and Client Services

Gillian Cantello was appointed to the position of Director for the Registration and Client Services Directorate in July 2010. A Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor with a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University, Gillian has more than 25 years of experience in the federal government. Gillian was with Library and Archives Canada since 2002 and during this time she held the positions of Director, Cultural Heritage, Canadian Archives and Special Collections Branch, Acting Director General, Published Heritage, Director of Access to Information, Privacy and Personnel Records, Acting Director of Audit and Evaluation, and Senior Program Manager in Government Records Branch. She also held the title of Senior Official for Values and Ethics and Senior Integrity Officer for two years. Previously, Gillian worked for 17 years at Human Resources Development Canada and Employment and Immigration Canada.
